WHAT IS POWDER COATING?

Powder coating is a method of applying a protective finish to a wide range of products. The powder used for the process is a mixture of finely ground particles of pigment and resin, which is sprayed with a spray gun that electrostatically charges the powder. The charged powder particles adhere to the electrically grounded part until heated and fuse into a smooth coating in a curing oven.

BENEFITS OF POWDER COATING?

Powder coating is significantly more durable than painting. It is extremely resistant to chips, abrasion, heat up to 400 degree F., fuel and a variety of chemicals. up to 10 times more durable than paint. No more runs, drips that you would get when using traditional paint.

Powder is available in virtually unlimited colors and textures, Many of which are in stock colors already at no extra charge to you or the added inconvenience and expense of waiting for the powder to be ordered.

WHAT CAN I USE IT ON?

Because the product is cured in the oven at 400 - 500 degrees Fahrenheit for up to 20 minutes any material that can not withstand this temperature must be removed or can not be done. Such as rubber, plastic, gaskets, foam insulation, bushings, paper as well as a few other. If your not sure if something can be done or you have an idea, please feel free to contact our technical department for more information.
